What This Site Is Not

Six things to be clear about before you use anything on this site to make a decision about your own face.

Gangnam Clinic Guide Editorial · Published September 12, 2026 · Updated September 12, 2026 · Seoul · Reviewed by the Gangnam Clinic Guide editorial team, September 12, 2026

In one paragraph: Gangnam Clinic Guide is not a medical provider and provides no medical advice. Nothing here diagnoses a condition, recommends a procedure, or replaces a consultation with a licensed physician who has examined you. A clinic appearing on this site is editorial coverage, not an endorsement, certification or guarantee. We book no appointments, broker no referrals and take no commissions. Prices are approximate market ranges that change monthly, not quotes.

1. We are not a medical provider

Gangnam Clinic Guide is a publisher. It is not a hospital, clinic, medical institution or healthcare organisation of any kind. It holds no medical licence, employs no physicians in an advisory capacity for this site, and has no clinical relationship with any reader. Reading this site, emailing us, or subscribing to anything here does not create a physician–patient relationship, and we cannot and will not answer questions about your specific case.

2. Nothing here is medical advice

All content on this site is general information for an international readership. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, not a recommendation that you undergo any procedure, and not a statement that any procedure is safe or suitable for you. Aesthetic procedures carry risks, including risks that are uncommon and serious, and those risks depend on your anatomy, your medical history, your medications and the person holding the needle.

Before any procedure, consult a licensed physician who has examined you in person. If information on this site conflicts with what a treating physician tells you, follow the physician.

3. A listing is not an endorsement

When a clinic, physician, device or product is named on this site, that is editorial coverage. It is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification, accreditation, approval, guarantee of outcome, or warranty of the quality or safety of anything.

We do not inspect clinics, audit their practices, review their clinical results or verify the credentials of individual practitioners beyond what is published in public. Absence from this site means only that we did not cover it — it is not a negative judgement. Presence on this site means only that we found it worth describing on the public signals set out in our editorial policy.

Any placement that ever becomes commercially paid will be labelled sponsored in the body of the page, at the placement itself. As of the review date above, no page on this site contains a paid placement.

4. We are not a booking, referral or patient-recruitment agent

We do not book, broker, arrange, relay or confirm appointments. We do not negotiate prices, do not pass reader details to clinics, do not receive patient enquiries on behalf of clinics, and do not accept commissions, referral fees, finder's fees or revenue shares from any clinic, agency or platform.

Korean law regulates who may recruit foreign patients for a fee. We have structured this site so that the question does not arise: we do not book appointments. Readers contact clinics directly through the clinics' own official channels, and every transaction is between the reader and the clinic.

5. Prices are approximate market ranges, not quotes

Price figures on this site are ranges compiled from clinic-published price pages and public advertising, read by us at the date shown on each page. They are not offers, not quotes, not guarantees, and not binding on any clinic.

Advertised prices in Gangnam change frequently and often exclude items that materially change the total — consultation fees, value-added tax, anaesthesia or numbing, aftercare, and touch-up sessions. A headline price may also refer to a smaller dose or a different product generation than the one you will actually receive. Always confirm the all-in total, the exact product or device, and what is included, directly with the clinic before agreeing to anything. Currency conversions are approximate and for orientation only.

6. Jurisdiction and regulatory scope

This site is published from Seoul, Republic of Korea, in English, for a mainly international readership. That creates a gap readers should hold in mind.

Where we cite U.S. Food and Drug Administration records, those records describe the United States regulatory status of a device or drug. They do not establish what is approved in Korea, and they do not describe what a Korean clinic is permitted to do. Devices and injectables used in Korea are regulated separately by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety under the Medical Device Act and related law, and the Korean approval is the one that governs treatment performed in Korea. A product with a U.S. lip indication may be approved differently in Korea; a product widely used in Korea may have no U.S. approval at all. We cite U.S. records because they are public, searchable and precisely dated — not because they are the applicable law where you will be treated.

Similarly, a procedure being routinely offered in Gangnam is not evidence that it is an approved indication anywhere. Where we note that, we are describing regulatory scope, not making a clinical judgement.

This site links to clinic websites, regulator databases and public agencies. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability, and a link is not an endorsement of the linked organisation. Regulator links are provided so readers can repeat our checks; agency databases are periodically restructured, and a link that worked at our review date may move.

If something goes wrong after a procedure

If you are having a medical emergency, contact local emergency services. In Korea the emergency number is 119, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare operates a 1339 health helpline with foreign-language support. If you have already flown home, contact a licensed physician where you are — not us. We cannot give clinical guidance, triage a complication, or intervene with a clinic on your behalf.

Limitation

This site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gangnam Clinic Guide accepts no liability for loss or harm arising from reliance on information published here, including decisions to seek or not to seek treatment, choices of clinic or practitioner, and reliance on price figures. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Gangnam Clinic Guide is not a medical provider. We are an independent editorial publication. We do not practise medicine and we do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment — nothing on this site is a recommendation that you undergo any procedure. Appearing on this site is editorial coverage; it is not an endorsement, certification, accreditation or guarantee of any clinic, physician or product. We do not book, broker, arrange or relay appointments, and we accept no commission, referral fee or payment for placement. Treatment decisions belong to you and a licensed physician who has examined you.
How we verify — and how we make money. Every figure on this site is compiled from publicly advertised clinic pricing and other public sources, reviewed by a person before publication; we collect no quotes from clinics and publish no clinic-supplied rate cards. Gangnam Clinic Guide takes no commissions, accepts no payment for placement or ranking, and does not book appointments or refer patients — we are an editorial publication, not a medical-tourism agency. Listings and prices are re-checked monthly; the review date for this page is shown under the headline. Full method and corrections policy: Editorial policy.
