How to Choose a Filler Clinic in Gangnam
Every clinic advertises 1:1 custom design and private care. Here are the five things you can actually verify - by asking one question each.
1. Ask who holds the syringe
In many Korean clinics your consultation is run by a coordinator, not the doctor. But the person who injects is everything. One question when you book: which doctor will perform the injection personally? Clinics that answer instantly with a name are structurally different from clinics that deflect.
2. Favor the clinic that says less
The hardest filler skill isn't injecting - it's stopping.When you list the areas you want treated, a clinic that responds you don't need this one is usually a better bet than one that agrees to everything. A doctor who subtracts is taking responsibility for the outcome.
3. Verify the product, unopened
The same 1cc of filler can be a completely different product. Domestic and imported brands (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero) differ several-fold in price. Ask which brand, and whether they open the sealed box in front of you showing name and volume.
4. Ask the hyaluronidase question
Filler is overwhelmingly safe, but accidental injection into a blood vessel is the risk that matters. The safety net is hyaluronidase, the enzyme that dissolves HA filler immediately. Ask: do you keep hyaluronidase on site? A clinic that treats the question as routine has its fundamentals in place.
5. Look for published standards, not reviews
Reviews can be manufactured. What's hard to fake is a clinic showing its own reasoning in public - which proportions it looks at, why it uses a certain product, when it declines to treat. Clinics whose directors write under their own name are handing you their standards in advance.
